Individual The Individual Usage subindex uses the number of ISDN subscribers, an outdated indicator, for measuring broadband usage. In most countries, broadband Internet services have migrated from ISDN to other access technologies. A more suitable indicator would be the number of broadband subscribers, whether wireless or wired. Business An indicator of business usage of ICTs would be to measure spending on ICT infrastructure and services. Measuring the total investment in ICTs by businesses in a country may provide a better picture of usage than the current indicators. |
