Organizations working on frontier issues of telecom reform, information infrastructure development, and preparing the regulatory foundations to stimulate growth in new network economies, may wish to join WDR. Options they can consider include partnership and event sponsorship.

Partnership
Join the founding partners – infoDev, World Bank; LIRNE.NET; International Development Research Centre (IDRC). This requires a significant commitment in funding and/or support services over a three year period. It includes a seat on the Board, participation on the management committee (if desired), and full partnership recognition in all WDR activities.

Event Sponsors
WDR holds a series of annual events that can be sponsored on an individual event basis. These include,

  • WDR Annual Forum, where up to 40 leading experts from around the world come together in a high profile event to discuss the WDR Draft Report on the Dialogue Theme;

  • Workshops, seminars and meetings held throughout the year and around the world to discuss the dialogue theme, and the particular implications for the region where the session is taking place;

  • WDR research fellow positions at LIRNE.NET for 3-12 month periods to participate in WDR research and related activities;

  • Country case study contributions to the Dialogue Theme;

  • Publication and dissemination of the Final Report on the annual Dialogue Theme;

  • Translation of the Final Report into different languages for wider distribution;

  • Translation of web site material on the dialogue into different languages to permit wider participation in the dialogue.

Event sponsors receive full recognition at the event, including opportunities to participate as appropriate.
