WDR/LIRNE.NET members Prof. Robin Mansell (London School of Economics) and Prof. William Melody (Managing Director of LIRNE.NET and WDR) gave a course on E-Commerce for Developing Countries: Assessing the Models and the Experience on 19 May 2005 at the World Bank. The course focused on the issues of developing e-commerce applications in developing countries, the barriers and drivers to successful applications, the interrelationships between private and government e-commerce use, and the role of ICT policy and regulatory frameworks. It also included an assessment of expectations and a review of experience, including case study evidence. The course outline, a list of selected references, and other resources prepared for the course can be consulted on the LIRNE.NET website. |
